BEECHER, Maude Emma Hasty Mrs. Edward Beecher, 63, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday 1-27-1952 at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington, after a lingering illness. She was brought to the Easton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church at Anchor. Burial will be in the church cemetery; Rev. Carl Grabeman will officiate. She was born 6-8-1888 at Anchor, a daughter of Robert and Nealy Doane Hasty. She married 2-21-1906 at Anchor to Edward Beecher. Surviving are the husband; three sons, Ralph, Anchor; Edwin, Gibson City; Delmar, Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Schleeter of Anchor; Mrs. Melba Quinn, Gibson City, and Mrs. Mildred Trembly of Colfax; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Claude Hasty, Colfax; Clarence Hasty, Union; Clyde Hasty, Aurora; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Witmus, Saybrook; Mrs. Nora Schalper, Peoria; Mrs. Lois Dowdy, Decatur. She was preceded in death by the parents; four sisters and two brothers, one daughter, and one son and one grandson. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Anchor.
