Ein damals in Rouen/Frankreich sesshafter Ostheimer, der Posamentierer Jacob Sporck, rief seine Verwandten auf, ihm junge Leute zu schicken. Kaspar Friedrich war der jüngste und folgte sofort der Bitte seines Vetters. Die Sporcksche Stiftung umfasste insgesamt 40.475,06 Mark. 1/3 sollte der Schule zufallen, 1/3 dem Krankenhaus und 1/3 den Armen der Stadt zukommen. Dem Ehepaar verlieh die dankbare Stadt Ostheim 1880 das Ehrenbürgerrecht. Die Bildnisse beider Wohltäter fanden ein Ehrenplatz im Städtischen Krankenhaus, heute ist es das Orgelbau-Museum.
