ROBERT ORLANDO SCHLUSSLER Robert Orlando Schlussler, age 63 of Emerald Township and formerly of Woodville, died unexpectantly early Thursday morning at his residence. Robert was born on August 24, 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the son of Phillip and Wanda(Krause) Schlussler. He received his education from Rosemount School. Following school, he gegan working for Waldorf Paper in St. Paul. He was promoted to foreman prior to his early retirement after 18 years with the company due to a medical condition. On August 2, 1958, he uas united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Pawlenty in So. St. Paul. The couple lived in So. St. Paul prior to moving to Woodville. Most recently, they made their home in Emerald where they built their home. Robert took great price in his home. He thoroughly enjoyed working outside by keeping the lawn trimmed and neat and maintaining his flower gardens. His greatest joy came fromworking with his fruit trees, whether apple, plums, or pears. He also enjoyed working on projects in the garage. I wasn't unusual for Robert to have his morning coffee and sit outside admiring his projects. His family saw him as supportive who always had a shoulder to lean on. Robert is survived by his wife Carolyn Ann of Emerald, children Chris McGee of Roberts, Shirley McGrane of New Richmond, Sandy Kruizenga of New Richmond, Bobbi Schlussler of New Richmond, Gerald Schlussler of Emerald, a brother Eugene (Linda) Schlussler of Clear Lake, as well as eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends and family gathered to pay tribute to Robert's life on Monday February 28, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. There will be a family interment. Memorials are preferred in lieu offlowers. Funeral service are entrusted with the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. P.S. Robert was alSo. Survived by 5 sisters, Alice (LaVern) Walker of Inver Grove, Minnesota, Patricia (Harold) Anderson of Pinehurst, Idaho, Sharon Raymond) Reynolds of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, Janice (Paul) Moss and Janet Bachman both of So. St. Paul,Minnesota and 3 brothers, Clarence (Janet) of St. Paul, Minnesota, Bruce and Ricky both of So. St. Paul,Minnesota and numerous nieces andnephews. Robert was proceded in death by his father, Phillip Schlussler and mother, Wanda Schlussler and one sister, Shirley Reynolds of Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota
