Mrs. Christina Wagner Hege, 83, a resident of Elkhart, Ind., since she came here from Poughkeepsie, N. Y., as the bride of the late Ulrich Hege, died at her home, 500 State street, at 7 o'clock Sunday morning (July 23, 1933). She had been confined to her bed ever since the fracture of her hip in a fall two years ago 1ast September. The funeral will be held Tuesday, with a prayer at the home at 2 p. m. and a service at the Gospel hall DeCamp avenue, at 2:30 o'clock and burial at Grace Lawn cemetery. The services will be in charge of the Rev. Mr. Stadt of Grand Rapids, Mich., assisted by the Rev. F. W. Lineberry of the First Methodist Protestant church-. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Mrs. Hege, who was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Wagner, was born Dec. 5, 1849, in Koenigsbach, Kreis Durlach, Baden. On March 1, 1868, she left her native home, to come to Poughkeepsie, and remained there until her marriage in that city on May 15, 1875, to Mr. Hege, then a resident of Elkhart. He died April 21, 1910. Surviving Mrs. Hege are the following children: Henry, Edward and Herman Hege and Mrs. William Walters, all of Elkhart, and William Hege of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Nuding of Wauneta, Neb., and Mrs. Jacob Baer of Elkhart; a brother, Philip Wagner of Garden City, Kas.; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. E. Fisher; and two sons, Robert and Walter, preceded Mrs. Hege in death. Mrs. Herman Borneman, Sr., who died Aug. 16, last, was her sister. While a resident of Poughkeepsie, Mrs. Hege was a member of the German Methodist church. Elkhart Truth
