Elberon Girl Dead

On Friday afternoon last, Margaret Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peters Wiese, passed away at her home five miles north-east of Elberon, Tama County, at the age of twelve years. This young lady had only been ill a few days with diphtheria developed and the unexpected call came. The funeral was conducted privately on Sunday afternoon last, interment being in Keystone cemetery. At the grave side a number of sorrowing friends and relatives awaited the funeral party. The officiating minister, Rev. J. W. Atkins, of Elberon, delivered a short address, and expressed how the whole community sympathized with the bereaved family. The floral tributes were numerous and costly, and showed the deep appreciation of the many friends who remembered the bright young girl in life and realized the great loss sustained by death. Margaret leaves to mourn her loss her sorrowing parents, four brothers, Wilbur, Lester, Freddie and Sidney; also one sister, Dorothy. Wilber was unable to comehome, being sick in Sioux City, where he is attending school.[Zornig Family.FTW]
