Description

Die Familie Schoof siedelte erst um 1720 aus der Grafschaft Hoya kommend in Dithmarschen. Die Sage erzählt das der erste Schoof auf einem Bund Weizenstroh über die Elbe geschwommen ist und davon seinen Namen erhalten hat (nach Helene Höhnk). 
Die Garbe Weizenstroh sorgfälltig geordnet und beschnitten, wurde Schoof genannt und diente in Ermangelung von Reet zum Decken, besonders zum Ausbessern von Strohdächern. Lust auf mehr Schoof Ahnen? see more
