The oldest of the three brothers, Christopher Ratchford, married Annie Burkeof Main a Dieu. She was a member of an Irish family which had settled in andaround Main a Dieu. Christopher and Annie moved to Low Point and lie buriedat Low Point near the shore just below the St. Alphonsus Church Cemetary atNew Victoria. Both Christopher and Annie died before the Low Point Cemetary(St. Alphonsus) was donated by Sylvester Dunphy about the year 1820. They are buried on what isknown as the Ryan property which was left by them to their grand-daughter,Mary Murphy, wife of Jeremiah Ryan. Jeremiah died 28 December 1858.Mary's tombstone states that she was born in Low Point in 1800 anddied in1886. "History of Donald McGillivray and His Descendants", 1985, F.X. McGillivray, pg. 16.
