Birth:
He was born at 11 p.m. on the 14th of March 1811 in the small town Mikstat, which is near Ostrzeszow in the province Kalisz in Poland. His parents were Stanislaw and Franciszka Jaroszewski. (D1)

Childhood:
His parents died when he was one year old. Perhaps some relatives raised him. (D1)
When he was four years old, in 1815, the area around Mikstat was incorporated into Prussia.
Work:
He was a blacksmith. About 1850, when he was 40 years old, he bought a farm. He farmed his land. (D1)
During 1834 and 1850 he was described seven times as Kowal in local church records. After that he was described once as Gospodarz and once as Rolnik.
Marriage:
He married the single Honorata Nendzinska, who was also from Mikstat, on the 11th of November 1834 in the Sw. Trojcy church in Mikstat. (D1)
They raised a family in Mikstat. (D1)
Death:
He died of senile decay on the 8th of April 1882 in Mikstat. He was 71 years old. He was buried in the cemetery there. (D1)
