Hinrich Grotheer was a "Halbbauer". (C13)
Hinrich Grotheer inherited farm No. 44 in Neu St. Juergen from his father.
Beke Schmonsees inherited farm No. 38 in Neu St. Juergen from her father Peter Schmonsees (born 1738; married to Anne Segelken). Peter Schmonsees inherited farm No. 38 from his father Johann Schmonsees. According to the 1755 list in the "Heimatbuch Neu St. Juergen" a Johann Schmonsees owned farm No. 38 then.
He probably owned two farms - farm No. 38 in Neu St. Juergen and farm No. 44 in Neu St. Juergen.
He probably farmed No. 38. He probably rented farm No. 44 to his older brother Harm. According to Bernd Salewski Harm Grotheer was a tenant farmer and died on farm No. 44.
Hinrich Grotheer died on the 21/2/1842. (C13)
In 1996 the address of farm No. 38 was Dorfstraße 38, Worpswede. The owner was Werner Grobbau. In 1997 I visited the farm. There were two families living in the main building. No one was home.
It is difficult to establish details of his children, because there were two couples named Hinrich Grotheer and Beke Schmonsees/Monsees living in Neu St. Jürgen at that time. Both had children between 1790 and 1807 and were farmers.
