He was a farmer (German: Beibauer) in the village Vorwohlde which is also in the Sulingen parish. His inherited a farm from his wife’s father. (from "Weinkauf" of 1724/1725 in the "Hann. 74 Sulingen Nr. 555" document in the civic archive in Hannover.)
His farm was probably Vorwohlde No. 3 (from the "Brandkataster" from 1787 - document "Dep. 106 Nr. 1270" in the civic archive of Hannover).
Marriage:
He married the single Ilse Köstermann from Vorwohlde on the 27th of October 1724 in the Lutheran church in Sulingen. (F1)

Other Information:
1. Because his wife inherited her parents' farm and her parents' name was Köstermann, Christian Gödeker was also called Christian Köstermann. This often happened at that time.
2. The earliest records of the Sulingen church are a list of inhabitants as at 1719. I found no Gödeker family amongst the Klein Lessen residents. There was however a Bodeker family.
3. In the "Erbsregister" of Klein Lessen from 1677 there is listed a "Vollmeier" with the name Otto Goedecker. In 1769 the owner was a Bernd Hinr. Goedecker (from the "Hann. 74 Sulingen Nr. 23" document in the civic archive of Hannover.
