Obituary Mrs Louisa DeWald, 81, died Nov 8 at Minidoka Medical hospital whereshe was a patient in the geriatrics ward. She was born Feb 9, 1883 at Menno, South Dakota, and came to Rupert in1938 from Mott, North Dakota. She was married Jan 13, 1907 to WilliamMehrer, who passed away Oct 13, 1936. She was married Nov 8, 1939 inRupert to John DeWald, who passed away Feb 5, 1961. She is survived by seven children, Mrs Alfred (Viola) Packham, and MrsValynda Vogt, both of Rupert. Mrs Lee (Rose) Harding, Phoenix,Arizona, Mrs Larry (Angie) Thebodeaux, Billings, Montana, Mrs ReginaMurray, Los Angeles, California, Harold Mehrer, Twin Falls, and RuebenMehrer of Washington; and ten step-children, Albert and Henry Dewald,Adolph and William Dewald, both of Granger, Washington, Edwin Dewald,Spokane, Washington, Louis Dewald, Blackfoot, Mrs S T (Louise) Kiddand Mrs Jack (Marie) Kelly, both of Vallejo, California, Mrs Earl(Bertha) Craythorn of Provo, Utah, and Mrs Eugene (Martha) Kessingerof Rupert. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs Christina Scholzman of Rupert,Mrs George (Rose) Serr, Jerome, Mrs Barbara Guthmiller, Menno, S.Dak., Mrs Katherine Handel and Mrs Gust Maas, both of Lodi,California, and two brothers, Phillips Neuharth, Menno, and KarlNeuharth, Lodi; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Paul CongregationalChurch with the Rev Edwin E Huber officiating. Interment will be inthe Rupert Cemetery. Rupert, Idaho; The News, Monday, 9 November 1964, Page 6. 1964 Funeral: Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho Funeral services for Mrs Louisa DeWald were held Thursday afternoon inthe Paul Congregational Church, with the Rev Edwin E Huberofficiating. Pat Fetzer was organist. A trio composed of Vilma Martsch, EsterFetzer and Ella Wall sang Beyond the Sunset. Mr and Mrs August Martschsang God Will Take Care of You and Nimm Meine Hende (Take Thou MyHand). Pal bearers were Rudy Ronadiman, Bill Schorzman, Walter Schoen, ChetDalpiaz, Robert Weaver and Ralph Short. Floweres were cared for byMarge Miller. Elle Martsch. Olive Atwood, Lois Hilterbrand, EdnaGraham ad Edna French. Interment was in the Rupert cemetery with Walk Mortuary in charge. Rupert Idaho; The News, Monday, November 16, 1964. Page 5.
