Gento (auch Genzo) war der dritte oder vierte, aber vor allem jüngste Sohn des Vandalen-Königs Geiserich. Die antiken Quellen berichten nicht sehr viel von Ihm, doch war er Flottenführer unter seinem Vater. 468 war er bei dem Angriff der byzantinische Flotte erfolgreich und konnte das feindliche Kriegsschiff mit dem Legaten Johannes entern. Gento versprach dem Johannes eine ehrenvolle Gefangenschaft, doch zog dieser es vor ins Meer zu springen. Gento starb im Kampf, vor 477.
Gento hatte mindestens vier Kinder, davon Wurden Gunthamund und Thrasamund Könige der Vandalen.
