Highland News Leader, Wednesday, July 25, 1979: Funeral services forWilhelmina K. Koch, 83, of Highland were held Thursday, July 19, inSt. Paul's Catholic Church in Highland with Fr. John Nolanofficiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Highland. Mrs. Koch died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, July 16, in Highland Manor Home. She was born Nov. 30, 1895 in Bond County north of Pierron to Leopoldand Katie (Bellm) Wagner. She was married to John P. Koch Nov. 11, 1919 in Immaculate ConceptionChurch in Pierron. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 19,1975. A son, Paul, died Feb. 2, 1958, and a brother and sister, Louis Wagnerand Carrie Bircher, are also deceased. Surviving are one son, Dr. Cyril N. Koch, DDS, of Alton, twodaughters, Mrs. Ralph (Adrienne) Long of Highland and Mrs. Ralph(JoAnn) Fuhler of Highland, two brothers, Nic Wagner of Highland andFred Wagner of Nashville, 20 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Koch was a member St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Ann AltarSociety, Legion of Mary, American Legion Auxiliary Eo Post 439 andWeinheimer Senior Citizens of Highland. She lived north of Pierron until her marriage, and lived in Highlandthe rest of her life. Funeral arrangements were made by SpengelBoulanger Funeral Home inHighland.
