Parsippany<br /><br />Andrej Kucyna, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He was a resident of Parsippany for the past year and previously of Yonkers, NY since 1960. He was born in Voluiky, a small village near the town of Olesko in western Ukraine, and came to the US in 1949. Andrej was a machinist and foreman from 1952 to 1986 for G.A.L. Electro Mechanical in NYC and the Bronx. After retirement from G.A.L., he went on to a second career as an Electrolux Salesman in Westchester County, NY.<br /><br />He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elvira; three sons, Yuri and wife Sasha, Orest and wife Maria, Bohdan and wife Katia, and his two grandchildren, Mykola and Andrea. <br /><br />Visiting hours will be held at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ on Thursday, April 4th from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm. Parastas will be held at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church in Whippany on Friday, April 5th at 9 am. Burial to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Hamptonburg, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund, 60 North Jefferson Rd. Whippany, NJ 07981.
