Katholisch. Arbeiter. Alt. Name: Nicolau Immigrated to the former Itaja©Øi, currently Brusque, State of Santa Catarina, Brazil in August 19, 1860. They came with the second wave of German immigrants (32 families, 132 people). Emigrated with wife and the two sons Heinrich and Georg Daniel. From Florianop©Øolis, where they first landed, to Itaja©Øi, they were transported by the war ship Iva©Øi in the sam eimmigraion wave as Major Jo©Þao Melo e Alvim. As Nikolaus Fischer's agricultural skills developed he became extremely proficient; thus winning the first, second and fourth Agricultural Exposition of the Colony for his sugar cane crops in 1872, 1873, 1875 He was the first businessman and resident of Guabiruba do norte On 27.12.1867 he requests the aquthorities for permission to bring more family members from Germany to Brasil
