Markgronigen Birth records LDS# 1056750751 Emigration records: LDS# 550796 Mother, father and five children left on May 10, 1805. GCRA NEWSLETTER Volume 17, Number 2 P 51-58 1804-1805 Emigrants to Russia from Markgroeningen Amt, Wue. Contributed by Thomas A. Stangl [Source: FHL #550,796] Johann Christoph Schafer (1816 GRL:60), was born ca 1770/1771, either in Markgr., or Tamm. His sister, Rosina Schafer, wife of Johannes Gutjahr (see #15), was bom in Tamm, a small village very near Markgr. Johann Christoph's wife, Maria Margaretha Kuisle (*1.11.1770 Markgr.), was sister of Rosina Barbara Mattheis, nee Kuisle (see #18). The children bom in Markgroningen who went to Russia: (1) Johann Christoph M.6.1796, (2) Johann Jacob *20,?.1797, (3) Christine Katharina "29.8.1799, (4) Maria Magdalena *22.2.1801, (5) Rosina 10.8.1804. After arrival in Russia, Johann Christoph Schafer and Maria Margaretha Kuisle had two more daughters, Johanna Barbara ( 1806/1807 Grigoriopol) and Maria Barbara (*1810 Gluckstal).
