GCRA NEWSLETTER Volume 17, Number 2 P 51-58 1804-1805 Emigrants to Russia from Markgroeningen Amt, Wue. Contributed by Thomas A. Stangl [Source: FHL #550,796] The reference in StumppKE, p. 354 & p. 697, to the "Laux" stepsons of Anton Tippel (a.k.a. Topel) in 1858 KRL:222 is an error - their surname is LAUT - they are sons of Balthasar Laut (*29.3.1802 Gocklingen/Landau-Pf, +23.1.1841 K), who married ca 1828 to Katharina Bosche (*ca 1811,1816 GrLieb RL:125, age 5; m.2 on 22.11.1842 Glk Parish, to Anton Tippel/Topel). ***************** Karl Stumpp, Emigration from Germany to Russia in the Years 1763 to 1862, (American Society of Germans from Russia, Nebraska, 1978), p 697 # 222 Kas, name is spelled LAUX in Stumpp. *********************** Spelling of name in records is spelled both Laut and Lautt
