Notes for this person
Georg Michael Dietz, who died in 1842 in Alexanderhilf [may appear in the 1816 Alexanderhilf census RL:29], is also recorded in the Glueckstal Deaths as a widower. It appears that he may have come to Bergdorf after 1816 [before 1820]. I assume he is the father of GEORG DIETZ, who is found in BRL:102, 1858 as Georg TIETZ, age 36 [b ca 1821], the illegitimate son of divorced Dorothea HALLER-HUFT [she appears in 1816, BRL:2, the wife of Johann HAUF, who is really JOHANNES HUFT, JR, son of Johann(es) Huft of BRL:48]. IF Christina Friederka Dietz is closely related to Georg Michael Dietz, this may explain why Georg Michael came from Alexanderhilf to Bergdorf--to visit a relative. It is possible that he may never have actually lived in Bergdorf, but "left a son behind" during one of his visits???? Certainly the event of Georg Dietz's birth ca 1821 was the reason for the divorce between Dorothea Haller & Johannes Huft Jr, who then married Anna Maria Amann. Regards, Tom Stangl
