Mrs. Ehrmann, 94, Dies Here Friday Mrs. August Ehrmann, 94, Linton, a widow, died at 5:55 p.m. Friday, March 4, in the Linton Hospital. She had been in failing health several months. She was the former Elizabeth Rau, born Nov. 18, 1882 in south Russia to Jacob and Elizabeth (Merkel) Rau. The family settled at Eureka, S.D., after coming to the United States and she was married there to August Ehrmann Nov. 15, 1903, by the Rev. Otto Harf. After the marriage, she and her husband settled in Emmons County on a farm 13 miles east of Linton and lived there until moving into Linton in 1943. Mr. Ehrmann died in 1955. She leaves two daughters and two sons: Mrs. August (Pauline) Schatz, Mrs. Alvin (Adeline) Fischer and Elmer Ehrmann, all of Linton, and Erwin Ehrmann, Bismarck. There are 11 grand-children, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bert (Emma) Grenz, Jamestown, and a brother, Dr. Paul Rau, St. Louis, Mo. In addition to her husband, two sons, a daughter, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from Peace Lutheran Church, Linton, with the Rev. Curt Brandt officiating and Kraft Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Linton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Fischer, Steve Glas, Wm. Hochhalter, Otto Ohlhauser, Lyle Allan and Allen Trautman. Honorary pallbearers were Ted Fischer, Jake Ell, Jake Schatz, Edwin Schatz, Edwin Beck and John Haid.
