Frederick Marquardt acquired the land on the east and west sides of Elizabeth Street, between St. Charles Road and the Chicago Northwestern Right-of way. (These houses no longer exist.) The family moved in the home he built where now is the present location of the Jewell Tea Co. later Theodore F.
