Leonhard Dallmann, 86, of 1610 Sunset Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000 at Sleepy Eye Care Center where he had been a resident since Sept. 26.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Eldora Dallmann of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Frederick "Fritz" Hackbarth of Onalaska, Wisconsin; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Diane Dallmann of New Ulm; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Dallmann
of Milwaukee, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ardella Enter of Nicollet; sisters-in-law, Ruth Dallmann of Nicollet, Cornelia Dallmann and Hazel Dallmann both of Mankato; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gordon and
Dolores Thom of Nicollet, Irene and Harold Fischer of New Ulm, Fern Shult of rural Nicollet, Helen and Edgar Poehler of rural Courtland; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger Dallmann in July 1994; a sister and brother-in-law Lorene and Eugene Bode; a sister, Hertha Dallmann in infancy; brothers and sisters-in-law Walter and Molly Dallmann, Harry and Ida
Dallmann, Edwin Dallmann, Daniel Dallmann, and Eldon Dallmann.

He was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County to Gustav and Anna (Maas) Dallmann. He graduated from Nicollet High School in 1932 and then attended Mankato Commercial College in Mankato. On Sept. 20, 1938, he married Eldora
Thom at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. They lived in New Ulm, where he was a salesman for Bleecker and McNess. From 1972 until 1983 they lived in Glendale, Ariz., where he worked with the Glendale Office Supply Company. In
1983, they retired and moved back to New Ulm. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, where he served several terms on the church council.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to either the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Ulm or to the Martin Luther College Athletic Department.
