Ellen G. Bode , 80, formerly of Courtland, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at the Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Current Cemetery in Home Township, Brown County.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 7:30- 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ellen is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Jim and Diane Reinhart of St. Peter, Treacy Meyer of Courtland; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Lyle Wills of Nicollet, Jean and Ron Thill of Courtland, Duane Poehler of Cleveland;
seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ferdie Reinhart; second husband, Clifford Bode; son, Mark Reinhart; great-grandson, Michael Flowers; stepdaughter, Pat Poehler; sisters, Elizabeth Studtmann, Carol Huhn, Rhoda Kohls;
brother, Everette Rogers; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Ellen Gertrude Brust was born on Oct. 22, 1924, in New Ulm to George and Viola (Current) Brust. On Oct. 21, 1943, she married Ferdinand Reinhart at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles. After his death she married Clifford Bode on
Aug. 27, 1963, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a farm wife to both husbands. Ellen enjoyed playing cards, gardening, baking, quilting and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.
