Lorna Bode , 84, of Courtland, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Courtland with Pastor Wayne Bernau officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Lorna is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann and Dennis Wills of Nicollet, LaVonne and Ronald Dahltorp of Lake Crystal; a son and daughter-in-law, Reuben and Judy Bode of Courtland; a son-in-law, Wayne Luepke and his wife, Kathy, of
Courtland; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Enter of Nicollet, Velora Studtmann and Arline and Harley Wills all of Courtland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elton and Esther Stolt of New
Ulm and Merlin and Dorothy Stolt of Gaylord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ervel Bode on May 19, 2001; a daughter, Laura Luepke; a sister, Ardella Macho; brothers, William Stolt, Jr. and Sylvan Stolt in infancy.
Lorna Stolt, the daughter of William Sr. and Johanna (Hulke) Stolt was born on February 17, 1920, in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County. On September 29, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ervel Bode at the Immanuel Lutheran Church rural
Courtland. After marriage they farmed in Courtland Township, Nicollet County until 1970 when they retired and moved into Courtland. While living in Courtland Lorna worked for several years at the Union Hospital in New Ulm.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and a past member of the Dorcas Society at church. Since July 31, 2003 Lorna resided at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
