#Emelia Rengstorf, 94, of Courtland died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland Township, Nicollet County with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church on Monday.

Emelia is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Marxhausen of White Bear Lake, and Marian Rengstorf of Courtland; sons and daughters-in-law, Marv and Dorothy Rengstorf of Mankato, and Dave and Molly Rengstorf of Courtland; ten grandchildren; 22

great grandchildren; a sister, Wilhelmine Schmidt of Courtland; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wes and Myra Rengstorf of Courtland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Rengstorf on Oct. 14, 1981; brothers and

sisters-in-law, Herman and Alice Kratzke, and Rueben and Bertha Kratzke; a son-in-law, Victor Marxhausen; a brother-in-law, Wesley Schmidt.

Emelia was born July 21, 1907 in Nicollet County to Anton and Wilhelmine (Hermel) Kratzke. She attended county school in rural Nicollet. On Nov. 5, 1925 she married Edward Rengstorf at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet.

After marriage they farmed in Courtland Township, Nicollet County until moving into Courtland in 1967. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, and the Dorcus Society at church. She had been a resident of the Hillcrest

Health Care Center since July 2001.
