Um 1825 erwarb Friedrich Karl, Graf von Spaur zu Flavon und Valor vonKasimir Schenk die Herrschaft Roggenburg. Graf Friedrich, geb. 12.07.1793 in Wetzlar, gest. 23.04.1850 in Erlangen, war Herr auf Igling undErpfting (bei Landsberg) und hatte seinen Hauptsitz auf Schloss Igling. Er ist auf dem Friedhof in Igling bestattet. Die Grafen Spaur entstammen einer alten, vornehmen und weit verzweigten Tiroler Familie. GrafFriedrich war verheiratet mit Milemine (=Wilhelmine) Florence (=Florentine) de Meldemann aus Belgien. Sein Bruder Karl, Graf Spaur (1794 -1854) war außerordentlicher Gesandter und bevollmächtigter Minister Bayerns am Päpstlichen Stuhl in Rom. Sein herausragender Verdienst, welches den Spaurschen Grafen zu besonderer Ehre und großem Ansehen im ganzen Lande gereichte, war die Rettung Papst Pius‘ IX. vor den aufgebrachten, revolutionshungrigen Römern und die erfolgreich vorbereitete unddurchgeführte Flucht des Papstes nach Gaeta bei Neapel im Jahre 1848.
