Alice was disowned by her family. \par Mollie Armstrong has been in touch with a great grandson of Alice who has given her \par some of the quite sparce information he has gathered. Alice had two daughters, Eleanor and Rose before she and John Joseph married in 1903. She then had two sons before dying in 1908 at the age of 28 yrs. (the American side believe in childbirth to twins). In the census the older girl is recorded as Helena but she was really Eleanor. Ca. 1909 John J dedcided to try his luck in Canada and spent some years in Moose Jaw where he established a harness making business. Meantine his two sons were sent to their grandfather in Ireland in the componay of a priest. Seems the two little girls were more or less left to their own devises - no-one seems to know much about that time. Eventually their father sent for them -- ca 1918++? and they had to make their way to Moose Jaw. \par The two sons also joined their father after the death of their grandfather. John Joseph's elder brother, William. paying their fare. Later John J. married again and he, wife and two sons went to Philadelphia.}
