Weit. pers. Angaben Am 17.06.1915 ward er zur Fahne einberufen, an vielen blutigen Kämpfen war er beteiligt und erlitt bei den furchtbaren Durchbruchsversuchen der Feinde in Flandern durch ein Artilleriegeschoss am Kopf den Tod. Er war Landsturmmann in einem Pionierregiment.
Bemerkungen Am 27. Juli wurden seine Überreste auf einem Soldatenfriedhof etwa 1 Kilometer vom Wegekreuz Kruistraat, Richtung Borekerke von einem Feldgeistlichen bestattet
