He was early trained in agricultural work and has devoted his life to farming, which he has found both profitable and congenial. For the first eight years after his marriage he lived on onehundred and twenty acres belonging to his father and located south ofthe home farm, but at the end of that time he took up his residenceonthe homestead where he has since remained. He has prospered financially and now owns his farm which comprises two hundred acres of fertileand well improved land. He has erected a good house, barns andotherbuildings, and he keeps everything in excellent repair. He notonlyraises the usual crops but also feeds stock for the market andderivesa good income from his well directed labor. Edward Heinrich Stutheit was the ninth child of Heinrich William Stutheit and Caroline Louise Moerker born on 20 Mar 1863 in Clayton County,Iowa.

At the age of 20, he married Louisa Ida Krull on 21 Feb 1884 in Lancaster County, Nebraska. They had six children together.

At the age of 47, he married Edna Sharp Jones on 08 Jan 1913 in Hebron, Nebraska. They had three children together.

Edward passed away on 17 Dec 1937 in Porterville, California. He was 74 years, 8 months and 27 days old.

Internment was on 23 Dec 1937 at Centerville Cemetery in Centerville,Nebraska.
