[Margaretha SPRUEGEL.ftw] Confirmed in the New Hanover Lutheran Church on 7 April 1750 In Pennsylvania, USA on the same day as Rosina Leibersberger. Age 15. Came from Darmstadt and settled in Lehigh County, Penna. Moved to Maxatawny Township abt 1776/77 from Weisenberg Townshipwhichadjoined it. On July 6, 1750 his name appears on the Organizers of theZiegelChurch, Lutheran Congregation. The church burned down twice and all earlyrecordswere lost. He lived and tilled the lighter soil of his acres in WeisenbergTownship,where Chestnut Trees abounded, andwhere all his children must have beenborn.Then, towards the close of the Revolutionary War, he moved intoMaxatawnyTownship (where the soil was a deep clay and covered by large Oak Trees,wherethey both died. They had 8 sons and 3 daughters.
