1907 in Krankenhagen im Haus Nr. 34 (Im Busch) geboren. Dieses Haus ist 1907 von Großvater
auf dem Grundstück der Familie Edler errichtet worden. Ich vermute, das Baugeld stammt aus der
Erbschaft vom elterlichen Hof in Strücken Nr. 15. Nachweislich ist mein Alt-Urgroßvater 1736 im
Haus 34 geboren und 1813 auch dort verstorben.
Mein Vater hat dann eine Schuhmacherlehre in Exten absolviert. Seine Eltern mußten im wörtlichen
Sinn an den Lehrherren noch Lehrgeld zahlen.
In der Weltwirtschaftshrise 1929/1930 fand er eine Anstellung bei der Fa. Schu-Bo in Bremen, übernahm nach kurzer Zeit hier eine Filiala, um dann 1932 in Hannover am Engelbostlerdamm
Filialleiter zu werden, die er bis zu seiner Einberufung 1939 geleitet hat.
