Field. She was born March 7, 1909 at Velsen, Netherlands, to Jacob and Marie Scheeres. Prior to coming to America, she worked a year or so in London where she learned to speak English with a Scotch accent. She flew from France toEngland. In April of 1929 she arrived in America with her parents and brothers John, William and Arie. They made their home in Warren, Mich. She graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit and then attended Wayne State University. "In June 1932 she graduated from Grace Hospital Training School. She became a naturalized American citizen in 1935. In 1936 she was employed as a Detroit Public Health Nurse. She also worked with the Woman's Division of the Detroit Police Department. Over the years she has done hospital staff duty and industrial nursing, also for the American Red Cross. Her hobbies are painting in oils and raising guppies. "We both graduated from Silva's Mind Control and also took the professional course. I belong to the Polish-American Club of Hamtramck as an honorary member. And, for the year beginning September 1975, Iwas president of the Optimist Club of Royal Oak. I maintain an office in Hamtramck and in our home. Aafje joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the Bloomfield Hills Ward. And on May 26, 1973 I was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church.
