KUHL
Mrs. Bertha M. Kuhl passed away at her home, two and one-half miles southe
ast of Eldridge, this morning at 2:30 o'clock after an illness of sever
al weeks' duration. She was born in Scott county, Nov. 28, 1870,bei
ng 40 years, 4 months and 15 days of age. Besides many friends, the follo
wing survive her: Her husband, one son, Elmer, and four brothers, Henry a
nd Hermann Schneckloth, of Scott County; Peter of Bennett, Ia., and Willi
am of Chicago.
The funeral will be held from the home Saturday morning at 10 o'clock w
ith interment at Pine Hill cemetery.

KUHL FUNERAL
The funeral of the late Mrs. Bertha M. Kuhl was held from the home on t
he Dubuque road, nine miles from the city, Saturday morning at 10 o'clo
ck Johannes Kroeger officiating. There was a large attendance of frien
ds and many oral offerings werein evidence. Interment was made at Pine H
ill cemetery. The pall bearers were: Henry, Peter, William and Herman S
chneckloth, brothers of the deceasedand Hugo and Adolph Kuhl, brothers-in
-law of the deceased.
