Died 7 September, buried 12 September 1861. Hans Hinrich KÄHLER from Lohklint, Jevenstedt parish, pilot in Thielenhemme, son of the tenant Marx KÄHLER who lives in the same place and Anna nee GLÜSING, born in Lohklint on 23 September 1784, baptized on the 25th of the same month and also confirmed there -- walked in the same place as widower after receiving the death certificate of his first wife from Rendsburg on 10 January 1822. On 15 February 1822, he married Cecilia nee BOCK, born 18 September 1800, legitimate daughter of Hans Jürgen BOCK, sailor in Thielenhemme, and Margaretha nee MELCHERT, who survives him. His first wife was Esther nee BROCKMANN from the diocese, who died on 24 October 1820 in Rendsburg. Three children from the first marriage are living: 1. Marx Friedrich in Thielen, married; 2. Cicilia Catharina in the village of Dellstedt, married; and 3. Hans Hinrich, married, in Rio Janeiro. A fourth child from the first marriage, Peter Ferdinand Gottfried, was lost at sea about 20 years ago. Eight children stem from the second marriage: 1. Claus Hinrich, married in Thielenhemme. 2. Anna Margaretha Maria, married in the same place. 3. Christina Dorothea, married in Lunden. 4. Jacob Hinrich in Hemmingstedt, unmarried. 5. Henning, seafarer in celebacy. 6. Esther in Lieth, Hemmingstedt parish, married, and 7. Friedericka, now in Lunden, unmarried. According to rumor, the eighth child of this marriage, Carl, died in New Orleans from yellow fever. The deceased is 76 years 11 months 15 days old.
