Anton Wilhelm (von) FANGEN 1740-1804 ist der Stammvater der norwegischen

FANGEN-Familie. Laut "Norsk Biografisk Leksikon" ist er in Oldenburg

geboren.

1761 ist "Subchirurgus" in der norwegishen Armee, muss also früh

eingewandert sein.

1766 wird er zum "Regimentschirurgus" gefördert, und wird am Ende Arzt,

ohne ein eigentliches "Staatsexamen" bestanden zu haben. Verheiratet mit

Karen Brochmann, aus einer soliden bürgerlichen Kaufmann-familie.
