John Brockman of the Manor of Pibbie, extending to Old Romney and Medley,with other lands in Stowting and Crundale, granted him in 1390 A.D. ,being the 13th year of the reign of Richard 2nd.
As per "Calendar of the Patent Rolls preserved in the Public Record Office"
Henry VI. Vol. III. A.D. 1436-1441 by the Deputy Keeper of the Records
(1907) page 400 ;
"1440. . . . . May 11. Westminster. Grant to Richard SOMER, the king's
serjeant, of a tenement called 'Gosfeld Mohermes,' in Bokkyng, Gosfeld and
Fynchynfeld, co. Essex, which John BROKEMAN, esquire, deceased, is said to
have held for life, to hold at the yearly rent of 20s. until he be provided
with a corrody or other living of the yearly value of 3l. 6s. 8d. or more.

Grant of Lands by Richard II
Lands which had become vested in the Crown on the attainder of Sir Robert Belknap, were granted to John Brokeman in the 13th year of that monarch's reign, i.e., in 1390. Including the Manor of Pirrie, (Perry Court?), near Canterbury, in Kent wit h land extending to Old Romney and Medley, with other lands in Stowting and Crundale, by a patent which was enrolled in the Tower in that year. [John Brokeman was Collector of Customs for the Cinque Ports, sometime attorney for the King in Kent , and a trusted ally of Richard II in his struggles with John of Gaunt]
