Clayborn Eli BROCKMAN

1. Clayborn Brockman was a civilian seaman who sailed in ships that

were under the control of the U.S. Army (The Army Transport

Service was part of the Army Quartermaster Department). On 30

May 1909 he worked on the ship "Siberia" that sailed from Hong

Kong to San Francisco, CA; he was the 2nd Officer on the S. S.

Wampum that sailed from Glasgow, Scotland and arrived in New

York on 15 Oct 1919; in 1920 he was the Chief Officer aboard the

Army Transport Service ship "Santa Leonora" in New Orleans, LA.

It is interesting that Clayborn Brockman was found in the 1920

census twice, once in New York and the other time in New Orleans.

In New York he was identified as being with the Army Transport

Service and in New Orleans he was with the USAT ship "Santa

Leonore."

2. Information concerning his death date and place were located in
