- The following information came from GenForum and was
supplied by Paul R. Brockman on 28 Jan 1999:
"Job was born about 1777, and was listed in Brown County, IL in the
1850 census. His wife, Mary Ellen, lived from 1775 to 1855, and was
buried in Brown County. They had children: Samuel, Lewis, Thomas
W. (a wagon maker, surgeon, and Disciples of Christ preacher, who
commanded the Brown County Militia against the Mormons at Nau-
voo), Dr. James (a distinguished physician in Brown County), Nancy
(who married George Tebo) and John H. The late William Everett
Brockman referred to him on pages 89, 192 and 195 of The Brock-
man Scrapbook, and on page 30 of Orange County VA Families,
Vol. IV."
- From the "Cornstalk Militia" of Kentucky - 1792-1811 (information
from G. Kenneth Brockman of Louisville, KY): "Job Brockman
served in the Kentucky Regiment of the Gallatin County, Kentucky
"Cornstalk Militia. He was an Ensign in the 51st Regiment on the
28th of March 1803."
- After his marriage he lived in Port William, Henry co., KY. He then
moved to Indiana before settling in Illinois.

Have also seen the year of his birth as 1770.

Brockman.
