Clara B. Wood, 90, a resident of the Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville died on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Center.
She was born on June 22, 1916 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of the late Raymond and Winifred (Bensen) Brookman.
Mrs. Wood was a real estate agent in the Elmira, NY area or many years. She was a member of the Park Congregational Church, Elmira, NY, the Elmira Symphony and Choral Society and the Monday Mothers Club. She was a professional soloist and also performed volunteer work.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Draper of Concord, NC; three grandchildren, David Draper, Marc Draper and Jon Harrington; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. Wood on February 24, 1987 and whom she married June 29, 1940. She was also preceded in death by a son Ronald F. Wood and a brother Carl Brookman.
Graveside services will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Gibbon officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
