Das letzte Wort bei der Veranstaltung hatte Ingrid Brockmann. Sie war in Hamburg ausgebombt und lebte in Elmshorn, als die Bomber kamen. Brockmann erinnerte sich an die tagelange Suche nach Lisa Cordes, die schließlich „ganz zusammengeschrumpft“ in den Trümmern gefunden wurde. Im Keller der Schule pflegte Ingrid Brockmann als junges Mädchen Verwundete: Das war ihr lieber, als die Schrecken draußen auf der Straße zu erleben.
