Mrs. Mary S. George, wife on N. J. George died at her home on the Cattaraugus Road, west of Java Monday afternoon, June 17th, aged 48 years. She had been in failing health for a number of months and for the last few weeks, the relatives and friends at her bedside, were aware that the end was drawing near.

Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey of Orangeville. For the past twenty eight years she had resided three miles west of Java.

Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Fred of Crafton, Pa., Frank and Clarence of Batavia, Allen and Henry who live at home, two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Weeks of Batavia and Helen at home, also two sisters and five brothers. She was ofa genial, sweet disposition and leaves a host of friends to sympathize with the remaining members of the family in their sorrow.

Funeral services were largely attended Wednesday morning, June 19th at St. Nicholas church, Rev. Keifer officiating with burial in St. Nicholas cemetery.
