Beulah B. Gocke, age 86, of York, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at York. She was born to George and Mathilda (Stuhr) Bredehoft on May 30, 1928 in rural Waco, NE. Beulah stayed busy with her children’s activities while they were growing up and had served as a 4-H leader for many years. She also worked at Nebraska Lutheran High School in Waco as the kitchen manager.

Beulah’s love of agriculture inspired her involvement in the Nebraska Farm Bureau where she was a past president and a member of WIFE (Women Involved in Farm Economics). Beulah was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and LWML.

Beulah loved the land and promoted agriculture at every opportunity. Her love for the land continued throughout her life with her garden and flowers. She was a Master Gardener and truly enjoyed her garden friends and garden trips.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren,

sister and former husband.

Preceding her in death are her parents and infant son Ronald.

Funeral services were held August 23, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waco. Interment was in the Waco Cemetery.
