From the Concordian Newspaper, Concordia, Missouri - Mother Bosselmann dead

Mother Bosselmann, the mother of your well-known citizen Mr. Henry Bosselmann died at the latter 's home on Saturday, December 17, 1898, of old age, the deceased having been ill and feeble for many years. Mrs. Rebecca Bosselmann nee Sylvester, was born on January 28, 1816 at Oertel (Oerel), Amt Bremervoerde, Prov. Hannover Germany, and was married to H. Bosselmann in 1848. The union was blessedf with two sons, one of whom having died in Germany. Mr. Hy. Bosselmann and his mother came to the United States about 23 years ago and have lived there ever since. The deceased, a very kind hearted old lady was favorably known in this city and vicinity. Her remains were laid to rest in St. Paul's Lutharen cemetery on Monday, Rev. Blitz preaching the funeral sermon- - - Cars of thanks - I desire to Thank all those good freinds who attended the funeral and assisted us duing the illness of my departed mother. H.
