Frank J. Pfiffner of This City Takes Wife at Junction City
A wedding of more than ordinary interest to Stevens Point people took place at the Catholic church in Junction City at 7 o'clock this morning, the principals in which were Frank J. Pfiffner of this city and Miss Mary A. Koslowski of Junction City. Rev. W. B. Polaczyk officiated and the attendants were Miss Anna Koslowski, sister of the bride, and Karl Pfiffner, brother of the groom.
Wedding breakfast was served at 9 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Koslowski, about a mile and a half from the village. There were about twenty-five people, including only relatives, present. Those from this city who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Pfiffner, parents of the groom, the Misses Isabelle, Irene and Eleanor Pfiffner, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ciecholinski, Miss Lena Koslowski, and Mrs. Agnes Kolinski. The newly married couple departed on Soo line train No. 1 for Minneapolis, from where they will go west over the Canadian Pacific railway. Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and other points will be visited and they will return via Denver, St. Louis and Chicago. At the completion of their trip they will come to Stevens Point and expect shortly afterward to begin housekeeping.
The bride of today has resided in Stevens Point for about six years until recently was employed as head waitress at Hotel Jacobs. She is a capable young lady whose friends in this city and elsewhere are many. Mr. Pfiffner has been a Stevens Pointer always and is a graduate of the local High school, class of 1908. In the summer of that year he took employment as night ticket agent in the Soo line passenger depot and is now cashier for the company, with offices in the South side freight depot. The confidence of his friends is well placed in him and his also decidedly well liked. The congratulations that are extended to the young couple are broad in extent and most sincere in character.
