Martin M. Ruka
Martin M. Ruka, 74, Town of Linwood, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the River Pines Sanatorium. He had been a patient there for about three weeks.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Mill Creek. The Rev. Peter F. Rombalski will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call today at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. A general rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
Mr. Ruka was born Jan. 30, 1896, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ruka. As a child his family moved to Junction City, but after five years they returned to Milwaukee.
In 1917 he entered the Army and served two years stateside.
He married Sophie Szulgit on Nov. 22, 1927, in Milwaukee. He was a sheet metal worker while living in Milwaukee.
In 1952 he moved to his present address and has done extensive gardening while living there.
Survivors include his wife, Sophie; two sons, Robert, Town of Linwood, and Martin John, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Marianne) Helden, Milwaukee, Mrs. Alvin (Helen) Guzman, Franklin, Wis., 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph, Edward and Anthony, all of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Rose) Wayerski, Junction City, Mrs. Cecilia St. Louis, Markesan, and Mrs. Agnes Schnable, Milwaukee,
