Bellville Times Graveside services for David L. Remmert, 64, were held Monday, May 11, 2009 at 3 p.m. from Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Bellville. David was born Feb. 19, 1945 in Bellville to parents, John A. Remmert and Clara Stalbaum Remmert. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church. David graduated from Bellville High School and attended Blinn College. He was united in marriage to Ms. Dorothy Turrentine. David loved working with his hands; he could do anything he set his mind to. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed building bird houses, bird watching and fishing. David passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Houston. David is survived by his wife, Dorothy Remmert, sisters, Ora Dell Remmert and Merline Mayfield, all of Bellville, brother, John Remmert and wife, Ruby of Houston, six nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews, along with many close friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Remmert and sister, Florence Remmert. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the David L. Remmert Memorial Fund, c/o First National Bank of Bellville, P.O. Box 128, Bellville, TX 77418 or the American Heart Association, 10060 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77054.
