January 19, 2006 LaVern Klaus, 77, of Columbus died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. She was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Rock House Community, near Industry, to Kenneth and Lilie Rinn Veith. She was a member of the VFW Post 6113 Auxiliary in Columbus, the Shaws Bend Home and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Evanicky of Van Vleck and Marilyn Yearwood of Columbus; a son, Rusty Klaus of Mentz, along with seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Lilie Rinn Veith, her husband: Raymond E. Klause, brother: Emmett Lee Veith and an infant granddaughter. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home.
