Battist, 15, of 5340 Wallace Drive, Roscoe, died during physical education class at Hononegah High School at 11 a.m. Wednesday. He was born March 20, 1954 in Fort Atkinson, the son of Leo and Leona Anton Battist. The youth was a sophomore at Hononegah High School where he was a member of the Science Club. He also was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Rockton. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Lester, at home; a sister, Lois, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anton, Brodhead; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lydia Albrecht, Lake Mills; and several uncles and aunts. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew Lutheran church, the Rev. John Davis, officiating. Burial will be in Rockton cemetery. Friends may call tonight ast Overton-Schoenfeld Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Burial: Rockton Township Cemetery Rockton Winnebago County Illinois, USA
