<p><p>After Johan's death Johanna moved to a farm, at Wanora (where they also grew grapes). Wanora is toward Esk, from Ipswich.</p></p><p><p>At Wanora she married a man named Stienke or Stanke. He wasvery mean and treated the children badly, making them work long hours. Avice recalled, "I don't believe I ever heard what happened to him, but Johanna moved to Ipswich. I don't know where Stanke wasburied. Johanna is buried with Hazel Campbell and Bradley Clark."</p></p><p><p>The little old cottage where Johanna lived in Ipswich still stands.</p></p><p><p>Years after spilling boiling water intothe gumboots she was wearing, her leg became either gangrenous or cancerous. She died in Ipswich Hospital while having her leg removed.</p></p><p> </p>
