Edward Young ROCKEY

Rockey, age 74, of LaGrange, Indiana, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at his home.

He was born on February 24, 1943, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Lawrence E. and Margaret (Alfrey) Rockey. He married Margie Slagle on June 24, 1961, in Goshen, Indiana. She survives.

Edward had owned his own used car dealership called Rockey Auto Sales located on U.S. 20 in LaGrange, Indiana for 55 years. He enjoyed working on old cars, lawn mowers and tractors. He liked to attend auctions. He enjoyed being with his family who says he was a very funny guy who loved to tell jokes.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Jerry and Jill Rockey of Shipshewana, Indiana; one daughter, Tammy Rockey of LaGrange, Indiana; one sister, Judy and Russell Stump of Ligonier, Indiana; three grandchildren, Tim Harlow, Erin Wood and Kyle Rockey; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard (Sonny) Gangwer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 5, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, Indiana. The funeral service will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor Sara Patrick of the LaGrange First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka, Indiana.
