I have a James HUIE, married Mary LINN, possibly daughter of Joseph LINN and Martha KIRKPATIRICK. Mary was probably born abt 1748 (just my guess). I can find some information pertaining to the seven children of Joseph and Martha, but not their daughter Mary, I just wonder if maybe it was their daughter Mary who married my James HUIE.

I have sketchy information that suggests James HUIE was born abt 1743, and that he married Mary LINN in Sussex Co. NJ.

James HUIE is mentioned in the will of his father Robert who died in Morris Co. NJ in 1788. Also mentioned in the will of Robert is daughter Elizabeth, married to David KANINE/CONINE, also mentioned is daughter Sarah, married to Amos DAY.

I also have copies of Mortgage Deeds, dated 1767, Morris Co. NJ between Robert HUIE and Alexander LINN of Somerset Co. NJ.

I just find it interesting that you mentioned the name HUEY/HUIE. I had not thought to look in Sussex Co. NJ, I was concentrating my efforts in Morris and Somerset Counties, NJ. Do you have any more information regarding HUIES? or LINNS?
